Context

Prompts and model configurations scattered across env vars, config files, and product repos cannot be audited, rolled back, or federated.

Decision

PL-004 Enterprise Version Registry is the canonical store for promoted AI asset versions. Runtime resolves active pins from registry — not from ad-hoc config.

Consequences

Positive: Audit trail, rollback, federation export/import, cross-product consistency.
Negative: Registry operational maturity required before scale.
